Greater EMC Chamber Honors Frank McCrady with Hometown Hero Award

"A hometown hero isn't measured by headlines, but by the positive impact they have on the place they call home."

NEW CANEY, Texas (August 7, 2026) – The Greater EMC Chamber recognized Frank McCrady, President and CEO of the East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID), with its Hometown Hero Award during the Chamber's Monthly Luncheon on August 5, honoring his decades of leadership, service, and commitment to East Montgomery County.

The Hometown Hero Award recognizes individuals whose leadership and dedication have made a lasting impact on East Montgomery County. McCrady was selected for his unwavering commitment to strengthening the region through economic development, collaboration, and a vision that has helped create opportunities for businesses, residents, and future generations.

Throughout his career with EMCID, McCrady has worked alongside community leaders, elected officials, educators, and business partners to help shape one of the fastest-growing and most vibrant regions in Greater Houston.

Presenting the award, Greater EMC Chamber President & CEO Mark Linabury reflected on what defines a hometown hero.

"A hometown hero isn't measured by headlines, but by the positive impact they have on the place they call home," said Linabury. "Frank has never sought recognition. He has simply dedicated himself to serving others and helping make East Montgomery County a place we're all proud to call home."

Accepting the award, McCrady emphasized that East Montgomery County's success has always been the result of collaboration.

"The success we've had in East Montgomery County cannot be attributed to one person. It takes all of us working together to achieve the community we desire," said McCrady. "I've had the privilege of working with an outstanding Board and many others—from our staff to developers and commissioners—to make it all work. I sincerely appreciate this recognition, and I will continue working diligently to ensure East Montgomery County has the jobs and amenities it deserves."

The Hometown Hero Award recognizes individuals whose influence extends far beyond their own accomplishments. Through his decades of collaborative leadership, Frank McCrady has helped create opportunities that continue to strengthen East Montgomery County and improve the quality of life for those who live, work, and do business in the region.
