Splendora ISD Education Foundation Invites Community to Invest in Student Success

Splendora, TX — This spring, the Splendora ISD Education Foundation (SEF) is proud to support several academic and enrichment events across the district that encourage student achievement, family engagement, and a love of learning. Community donors play a vital role in making these opportunities possible for students of all ages.

Earlier this week, SEF representatives met with graduating seniors alongside seven other local organizations that provide scholarships, helping students understand available financial support as they prepare for their next chapter after high school. These conversations are an important reminder that it truly takes a community working together to support student success beyond graduation.

In addition to scholarship outreach, the Foundation will be assisting with the following district events this spring:

Spaghetti & SAT Night — March 12 at Splendora High School
Designed to help junior high students feel confident and prepared for the SAT, this family-friendly evening combines a shared spaghetti dinner with helpful test-taking tips and strategies. The relaxed setting allows students to learn while reducing test anxiety and building confidence ahead of future academic milestones.

Elementary UIL Academic Meet — March 7 at Peach Creek Elementary
This academic competition allows elementary students to participate in events such as storytelling, ready writing, music memory, and other subject-based challenges. UIL encourages confidence, critical thinking, and academic excellence while celebrating student talents outside the classroom.

Mission STEMpossible: Districtwide STEM Night — March 24
This first-ever districtwide STEM Night will welcome families to engage in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities together. Students will showcase projects, explore interactive stations, and experience real-world problem-solving activities that highlight future career pathways in STEM fields. The event focuses on strengthening family involvement while inspiring curiosity and innovation.

Junior High History Showdown — April 17 & 20
This team-based academic competition challenges junior high students to demonstrate their history knowledge in a fast-paced, game-style format. The History Showdown promotes collaboration, school pride, and academic enthusiasm while reinforcing classroom learning in an exciting way.

“These events may look different, but they all share one thing in common — they create meaningful learning experiences that build confidence and open doors for our students,” said Katie Key, Coordinator of the Splendora ISD Education Foundation. “Donor support allows us to say ‘yes’ to opportunities that campuses want to offer but may not always have funding for.”

Community contributions help cover supplies, materials, student resources, event logistics, and enrichment opportunities that ensure all students can participate, regardless of financial barriers.

The Splendora ISD Education Foundation invites businesses, organizations, and individuals to partner in supporting these student-centered programs and future initiatives that directly impact classrooms and campuses across the district.
