Splendora ISD Education Foundation Board Approves Leadership Updates to Support Continued Growth

Splendora, Texas — The Splendora ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors has approved two important organizational updates that reflect the Foundation's continued growth and commitment to expanding its impact across the district.

Effective July 1, 2026, Katie Key has been named Director of the Splendora ISD Education Foundation. The title change recognizes the expanded leadership role she has assumed since joining the Foundation in 2024 and reflects the organization's continued evolution as it works to enhance educational opportunities for students and educators.

In addition, the Board approved transitioning Janet Sinclair into a full-time position, strengthening the Foundation's capacity to support fundraising efforts, donor relations, grant administration, community partnerships, and special events as the organization continues to grow.

"These changes represent an exciting step forward for our Foundation," said Board President Lagala Davis. "Katie and Janet have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our mission, and these investments position us to better serve our students, educators, donors, and community for years to come."

Since joining the Foundation, Key has helped expand community partnerships, increase fundraising efforts, strengthen communications, and implement strategic initiatives focused on long-term sustainability. Earlier this year, the Foundation adopted a comprehensive strategic plan designed to guide its growth over the next several years while continuing to invest in educator grants, student scholarships, innovative programs, and community engagement.

The Foundation has experienced significant momentum over the past year, expanding programs, strengthening donor engagement, increasing community partnerships, and investing more than $127,000 in students, educators, and district initiatives during the 2025–2026 school year.

With a full-time staff and a clear strategic vision, the Splendora ISD Education Foundation is well-positioned to continue growing its impact while remaining focused on its mission of providing resources and opportunities that go beyond what traditional school funding can provide.
