Splendora Education Foundation Awards Record-Breaking $50,180 in Classroom Grants During Annual Grant Prize Patrol

Splendora, Texas — November 17, 2025 — The Splendora Education Foundation (SEF) celebrated its most impactful Grant Prize Patrol to date, surprising teachers and departments across Splendora ISD with a record-setting $50,180 in classroom grants. This marks the largest single-year investment the Foundation has made in innovative educational initiatives throughout the district.

In a vibrant parade featuring Splendora High School band members, cheerleaders, district administrators, SEF board members, and community donors, the Grant Prize Patrol visited winning campuses to deliver the news — and the signature oversized checks — directly to winning educators. Students lined the hallways with cheers as teachers were honored for their creative proposals to enrich learning experiences for Wildcats of all ages.

“These awards represent the heart of our mission,” said Katie Key, Coordinator of the Splendora Education Foundation. “Every grant we fund brings new tools, new ideas, and new opportunities into our classrooms. Last Thursday’s celebration is a testament to the passion of our teachers and the generosity of our donors who believe deeply in supporting public education.”

This year’s funded projects span a wide range of instructional priorities, including hands-on STEM equipment, reading initiatives, fine arts and creativity resources, and engagement-based technology. Each award was selected through a comprehensive evaluation process focused on student impact, innovation, and alignment with district goals.

The Foundation’s ability to increase its total grant giving reflects growing support from businesses, individuals, and community partners throughout the region. Annual fundraisers—including Men Who Cook, Purse Bingo, and the SEF Golf Tournament—as well as payroll giving and major donor programs, contribute directly to funding educator proposals each year.

The Splendora Education Foundation will follow up with educators in the spring to document and share the impact of these funded projects. Stories and photos will be featured throughout the year on the Foundation’s website and social media channels.
