Tension Steel USA facility no longer coming to East Montgomery County Industrial Park

Tension Steel USA will no longer be opening a facility in the East Montgomery County Industrial Park, said Kelley Mattlage, the East Montgomery County Improvement District’s chief operating officer, via email Jan. 23. Mattlage said Tension Steel, a Taiwan-based company, opted not to continue their U.S. expansion.

Construction on Tension Steel’s facility was originally estimated to kick off this month, as previously reported by Community Impact. The project was announced in July, and was expected to bring 120 jobs to the New Caney area.
