Getting Answers Sooner: HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood Reaches Milestone in Advanced Lung Care
KINGWOOD, Texas (June 10, 2026) — For patients facing the uncertainty of a suspicious lung nodule, getting answers quickly can make all the difference.
HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood has reached a significant milestone in helping Northeast Houston residents navigate that journey, completing its 100th robotic-assisted bronchoscopy procedure.
As the first hospital in Northeast Houston to offer robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is expanding access to advanced lung care closer to home. The minimally invasive technology uses real-time 3D imaging and advanced navigation to help physicians reach and biopsy small or difficult-to-access lung nodules with greater precision.
For many patients, the procedure can provide critical information needed to determine the next steps in their care without the need for more invasive surgery.
“This milestone reflects the expertise and dedication of our pulmonary specialists and care teams, who are committed to bringing innovative care options to our community,” said John Corbeil Chief Executive Officer HCA Healthcare Kingwood . “By offering advanced technology like robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, we are helping improve access to earlier diagnosis and treatment for patients throughout Northeast Houston.”
The achievement highlights HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood’s continued investment in innovative pulmonary care and its focus on improving access to advanced healthcare services throughout Northeast Houston.
Patients who require further evaluation of lung nodules can now benefit from technology designed to help physicians navigate deep within the lungs with greater accuracy, supporting timely diagnosis and personalized treatment planning.
