HOUSTON, TX (October 15, 2026) — HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood has named Chase Christianson CEO, effective Monday, Oct. 12, 2026. Christianson brings extensive HCA Healthcare leadership experience, including hospital operations, service line growth and capital expansion.
Christianson most recently served as CEO of HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, Florida, a position he has held since November 2022. He previously served as CEO of Parham Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, and as chief operating officer of HCA Florida Capital Hospital.

“Chase is an experienced HCA Healthcare leader who has demonstrated a strong commitment to patients, physicians and colleagues throughout his career,” said Troy Villarreal, HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division president. “His operational experience and record of supporting service growth and facility investments will serve HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood well as the hospital continues meeting the healthcare needs of the communities it serves.”
During his tenure at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital, Christianson oversaw a period of dynamic growth and service line development leading to on-going, large scale capital enhancements. At Parham Doctors’ Hospital, Christianson led the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic while overseeing several large-scale capital projects supporting patient care and facility infrastructure. During his tenure, the hospital experienced growth in orthopedics, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery and emergency services. The hospital and its medical staff partners also received recognition for orthopedic surgery and bariatric care.
Earlier, at HCA Florida Capital Hospital, Christianson helped lead growth in orthopedics, spine, cardiac services, robotics and bariatrics. He also oversaw expansion projects that included two freestanding emergency departments as well as operating room and cardiac catheterization laboratory expansions.
“I am honored to join HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood and look forward to working alongside its physicians, nurses and colleagues to continue providing high-quality care for the community,” Christianson said. “I am excited to build on the hospital’s work and support its continued growth as we serve patients and families across the Lake Houston area.”
