The Greater EMC Chamber is thrilled to celebrate the seventh anniversary of our esteemed Director of Communications, Mr. Tyler Jones. Tyler has been instrumental to our Chamber, contributing extensively toward our mission to foster a “Member Focused and Opportunity Driven” environment for the respected members of our Chamber. As the Director of Communications, he manages the Chamber’s branding and many aspects of our member experience such as photography, promotional designs, weekly e-newsletters, e-blasts and various other things. Tyler excitedly shares, “I enjoy getting to share ‘Chamber smiles’ and capturing the spirit of our Chamber.” Notably, the most obvious way he has done this is by elevating the quality of photography.

Tyler’s experience, vision and talents have amplified our communications efforts, making significant strides in increasing our visibility and influence within the business community. Tyler is credited with rebranding the chamber with an innovative new logo, shifting from the circular logo previously used to one that resembles the intersection of two major highways and highlights exactly what it’s symbolic of: “The Hub of Opportunity”.

Tyler is a graduate of our Pathway to Leadership EMC program "Class of 2022". He is also a graduate of Lone Star College-Kingwood's Visual Communications program where he interned as a Graphic Designer.  An interesting fact many members don’t know is that Tyler was asked to interview in 2018 and was hesitant upon finding out that photography was a focal point of the job. He didn’t consider himself skilled enough to produce professional quality photos, so he initially didn’t take the position. That quickly changed as he now shares, “I can’t imagine my life now without photography.” It is more than a job responsibility to him, but a passion. His hobbies include leatherworking and sewing costume garments for renaissance faires, where he gets to enjoy photography in a completely different environment.

"Tyler is not only gifted and talented, he's a difference-maker," says Mark Linabury, President and CEO of the Greater EMC Chamber. "His dedication to driving the Chamber's vision forward is evident in each project he undertakes. We're excited to see the continued impact he'll bring to our members, our team and the business community in the years to come." Tyler admires Mark’s leadership and credits him with the vision to build an in-house media team.

From Splendora to Kingwood and New Caney to Spring, the Greater EMC Chamber remains committed to adding value and making a difference in the business community. Tyler's contributions continue to propel us towards this goal. We congratulate Tyler on his achievements this year and look forward to many more milestones together.
