Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Department: HCS Program Location: Kingwood, TX Pay:
• Full-Time: $67,000 - $72,000 annually
• Part-Time: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). These positions involve direct care and compliance with nursing delegation protocols, HCS tag codes, and certified nursing assessments.
This is a Category I job, requiring exposure to blood, body fluids, or body tissues. Universal Precautions and Bloodborne Pathogen Procedures must be adhered to at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following and other duties as assigned:
• Nursing Services:
  o Provide care aligned with the HCS program requirements.
  o Conduct health assessments and develop comprehensive nursing assessments.
  o Review and document medical records, including Medication Administration Record Sheets (MARS).
  o Administer and monitor medication use and health risks.
  o Train and oversee unlicensed service providers on health needs and medication protocols.
• Compliance and Regulations:
  o Adhere to HCS regulations (TAC), including:
    ? TAC 9.174 (a) 31 (A-K)
    ? Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 301 (Nursing Practice Act)
    ? 22 TAC Chapters 217, 224, and 225.
  o Perform nursing tasks per the individual’s PDP, IPC, and implementation plan.
  o Delegate tasks to unlicensed service providers, monitor their performance, and ensure compliance.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  o Work closely with families, service coordinators, physicians, and pharmacy staff.
  o Document activities (billable and non-billable) in nursing service logs.
  o Provide training/in-servicing for new medications or health procedures.
• On-Call Duties:
  o Provide telephonic triage and emergency support.
  o Assist individuals in securing emergency medical services.
Other Responsibilities:
  o Perform competency assessments and training for unlicensed staff.
  o Ensure compliance with Senate Bill 1857 and administer/assist with medication protocols.
Qualifications
• Education & Certification:
  o Current RN License in the State of Texas.
  o BLS Certification required.
Experience:
  o Nursing delegation protocols.
  o Certified nursing assessments.
  o Knowledge of HCS tag codes and compliance requirements.
Skills:
  o Strong communication and documentation skills.
  o Ability to train and supervise unlicensed personnel.
  o Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) usage.
Schedule
• Full-Time: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend availability.
• Part-Time: 20-29 hours per week; flexible schedule, including weekdays and weekends.
Work Environment
• Non-clinical, with direct care at one location in Kingwood, TX.
• PPE provided to ensure safety and compliance with infection control measures.
