Strong Women Are Tired - Now What?
Strong Women Are Tired - Now What?
There’s something powerful that happens when women step away from their daily responsibilities, just for a few hours, to connect, reflect, and recharge together. That energy was on full display at our most recent Greater EMC Chamber Leading Ladies Luncheon.

As is the norm for the Greater EMC Chamber and its members, warm smiles and hugs are woven into the culture. Guests in this photo are catching up for the first time in a while after receiving a welcome drink.
From the moment guests began arriving, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of anticipation. We kicked things off with a few lighthearted icebreakers, intentionally designed to get people talking, laughing, and leaning into the conversation ahead. It didn’t take long for the room to come alive with shared experiences and genuine connection.

Guests easily connect with Shannon Carr’s message about carrying the weight of leadership through her humor and relatable stories.
I had the honor of emceeing the event, and as I looked out across the room, I was reminded just how much these women carry every single day. They are leaders, business owners, caregivers, decision-makers, and they show up with strength and grace, often without recognition. Creating a space where they can be seen, supported, and celebrated is what this series is all about.

Luncheon attendees enjoy networking before the program begins.
This experience would not be possible without the incredible support of our presenting sponsor, Memorial Hermann Northeast. Their commitment to investing in women and leadership development continues to elevate this program in meaningful ways, and we are truly grateful for their partnership.

Dynamic Entertainment Productions is a local, woman-owned business that supports our luncheons with creative photobooths that are a hit with our guests.

Our keynote speaker, Shannon Carr, brought a perfect blend of humor, honesty, and relatability to the stage. She tackled the very real weight so many women carry, balancing commitments, protecting personal boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and navigating the constant pull between work and life. Her delivery was engaging and refreshingly real, filled with moments that had the room laughing out loud one minute and quietly reflecting the next.

Author and Speaker, Shannon Carr with Hopeful Hearts Ministry and Decided Excellence Catholic Media, delivers an energetic and relevant talk that resonated with guests.
In true Shannon fashion, she surprised everyone with a simple breathing technique that quickly turned into a shared moment of laughter, followed by an unexpected burst of energy as the room ended on its feet, dancing to her favorite “hype” song. It was a reminder that sometimes, leadership also looks like letting go, having fun, and being fully present.

Guests rise from their seats to let off some stress in a hype-song through dance.
We closed the afternoon with one of the most anticipated moments, the Prizes with Purpose Raffle. Thanks to our generous prize sponsors, the excitement in the room was undeniable as winners were announced for stunning handbag sets from Tory Burch, Kate Spade, and Michael Kors, each paired with coordinating accessories. In addition, guests had the chance to take home the beautiful floral centerpieces adorning each table, along with one oversized statement arrangement courtesy of our Centerpiece Sponsor, Flowers of Kingwood. The energy, the cheers, and the shared excitement perfectly capped off an already memorable afternoon, all while supporting the future of this impactful series.

The experience was beautifully supported by our sponsors, including Facility Sponsor The Atrium Center, Foundational Supporter East Montgomery County Improvement District, Emerald Sponsors EFG Insurance Agency and Health In Progress, and Ruby Sponsors Fullscope Pest Control, Leadership Montgomery County, Spartan Roof Co., and Lone Star Mailing and Printing.
Additional thanks to our Prize Sponsors, Elite Hospital Kingwood, J&R's Ace Hardware, and Prudential Advisors - David Harris, as well as Table Sponsor, Citizens State Bank, for helping create such a thoughtful and engaging experience.
As the event came to a close, conversations lingered, connections deepened, and the energy remained. It was more than a luncheon. It was a reminder that no one is carrying it all alone.

Connecting with like-minded women who are often carrying much of the same weight you are is one of the key reasons to attend a Leading Ladies Luncheons.
And that’s exactly the kind of community we’re proud to build.
