Nearly 200 business and community leaders gathered at the Atrium Center for the Greater East Montgomery County Chamber’s sold-out March Monthly Luncheon, an event that reflected the Chamber’s role as the hub of opportunity while remaining member focused and opportunity driven. Presented by Accurate Home & Commercial Services, the luncheon brought together entrepreneurs, corporate representatives, elected officials, and community leaders for an afternoon of networking, community updates, and valuable insights into the region’s growth.

Networking, Community, and Great Food
Guests were welcomed by Chamber Diplomats and invited to participate in an interactive poll asking whether they consider their current job a career, a stepping stone toward a career, or simply a job. The question served as an engaging conversation starter during networking and tied directly into the day’s discussion about workforce trends and regional growth.
As attendees connected with fellow business professionals, passed appetizers from All Star Catering Company—including crowd-favorite candied bacon skewers—circulated throughout the room. A blessing was shared by Tess Farrand of Highlands Texas – A Caldwell Community before Cody Spence of All Star Catering introduced the day’s lunch menu.

All Star Catering Co. prepared a delicious meal for lunch that elevated the entire experience.
Guests enjoyed a flavorful meal featuring pecan-crusted chicken with meunière sauce, roasted pork loin with gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, fresh seasoned green beans, dinner rolls, and an assorted mini dessert station.
With the Atrium Center filled to capacity, the Chamber also extends appreciation to New Caney High School for generously allowing luncheon guests to utilize their parking lot to accommodate the sold-out crowd.
Chamber Diplomat, Tess Farrand of The Highlands a Caldwell Community, blessed the food before the buffet opened.
Recognizing Members and Community Partners
The program opened with the pledges led by Dr. Dustin Bromley, Superintendent of Splendora ISD. Attendees also heard brief community updates, including voter turnout numbers from Election Day, followed by recognition of elected officials who support the Chamber through their membership.
Larry Flemming of Accurate Home & Commercial Services, the luncheon’s presenting sponsor, shared a brief presentation highlighting the company’s home and commercial inspection services.
Chamber staff were then introduced, and Chamber Cheri was recognized for her seven-year work anniversary. The Chamber’s dedicated Diplomats were also recognized, with Frank Isom honored as Diplomat of the Quarter.

A Data-Driven Look at Regional Growth
The luncheon’s keynote presentation was delivered by Daniel Potter of the Kinder Institute for Urban Research at Rice University. Potter shared insights from the Greater Houston Community Panel and the Houston Area Survey, helping attendees better understand population trends, workforce perspectives, and the rapid growth occurring across Montgomery County—particularly in East Montgomery County.
His presentation helped put the luncheon’s opening poll question into context, highlighting how individuals view their careers and opportunities within a rapidly expanding region. After the presentation concluded, the results of the audience poll were shared, giving attendees a snapshot of how those in the room view their own professional paths.
Daniel Potter from the Kinder Institute for Urban Research delivers a compelling and surprising look at the impact of current and future economic growth in East Montgomery County.
Strengthening the Region Through Connection
From networking and recognition to meaningful conversation about the region’s future, the March luncheon once again demonstrated the strength of the Chamber community and the value of bringing local leaders together in one place.
A lucky guest was selected as the raffle winner and went home with $100 cash.
