Chamber Luncheon
The speaker for this event is Melinda Stephenson
CEO of Kingwood Medical Center.
Melinda Stephenson joined Kingwood Medical Center in July of 2009 with a history of accomplishments with HCA hospitals. Prior to joining Kingwood Medical Center, she served as CEO of Mainland Medical Center for four years and she served as the Chief Operating Officer as well as the Chief Nursing Officer of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center for eight years, respectively.
Stephenson earned an MBA from the University of Houston at Clear Lake and holds a BSN from the University of Texas. She is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Giving back to the community, Stephenson serves as the Chair of The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce and as a Director on the Humble Independent School District Foundation.
Under the leadership of Melinda Stephenson, Kingwood Medical Center has grown from a 211-bed hospital to a 373-bed hospital. The Brain and Spine Center and the Cardiovascular Center have developed into full-service programs offering the best care available to the Lake Houston Area Community. The recent addition of The Women and Children's Center has put Kingwood Medical Center on the map for women's health care. This new $80M expansion offers services to women and children in a beautiful modern environment without the hassles of a long drive, traffic, and congestion to the Medical Center hospitals.
