Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Event Manager to work in a fast paced, rapidly growing company. The Event Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing school and community events. This role is crucial to ensuring that our events are educational, engaging, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute educational events for schools and the community, ensuring they align with our mission and goals.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor management, transportation, and accommodations.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and maximize attendance.
- Work closely with educators, stakeholders and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure smooth event execution.
- Evaluate event outcomes and gather feedback to continuously improve event quality and participant experience. Maintain detailed records of event activities and prepare post-event reports.

- Willing to periodically work outside and must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

- Must be good with teenagers and children and willing to lead play rehearsals on some evenings.

- At least 2 years of experience in event planning and management preferably within the nonprofit sector or Bachelor’s degree in Event Management or a related field.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in event management tools, Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Passion for education and knowledge of American history, particularly the American Revolution, is a plus.
